Visa & Entry

UK citizens can apply for Tanzania's e-visa entirely online before travel — typically approved within days. A yellow fever certificate is required if arriving from an endemic country; carry it if you have one. We'll checklist everything with you.

Best Time to Visit

June to October and January to March are the prime climbing and safari windows — dry trails, clear summit views and peak Migration season in the Serengeti.

Money & Payments

Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) — cash-first for markets, tips and village stops; bring clean USD notes for the best rates. Cards work in lodges and larger hotels.

Language

Swahili is the language of the mountain; English is official and spoken by every guide, porter crew and lodge. "Karibu" — welcome — starts every safari briefing.
